Disability access and inclusion
Have your say and help make Western Power more accessible and inclusive.
We are developing a new Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) for 2010 – 2015. The plan will replace our Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2007 - 2010 (PDF 800kb or WORD 276kb) and supports our ongoing commitment to providing accessible and inclusive services and information.
Before we can develop new strategies that promote access and inclusion, we need to know if you find our services and information easy to access, and if not, why not. Your feedback via the short survey below would be appreciated.

Disability Access and Inclusion Plan
Our Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2007 - 2010 (PDF 800kb or WORD 276kb) outlines how we will identify and overcome access and inclusion barriers and was developed via consultation with our staff, customers, disability service agencies and the broader community.
Please note: The plan is available in alternative formats on request, such as large print, electronic format (disk or emailed), audio or Braille.
The plan formalises our commitment to providing all members of the community with equal access to our:
- Services
- Events
- Buildings and facilities
- Information
- Complaint mechanisms and
- Consultations
Each year we will develop an implementation plan detailing the individual actions we will undertake, who will be responsible for them and when they will be achieved.
The implementation plan will support the key outcomes of our three-year Disability Access and Inclusion Plan, which will be reviewed in 2010.
Contractor requirements
The Disability Services Act requires our DAIP to be implemented by our contractors as well as our staff. When contractors provide services to the public on our behalf, they are to adhere to our DAIP. By 30 May each year, contractors are required to submit a Contractor Report (PDF 45kb) to Western Power on the DAIP outcome areas that they have supported. More information
