Make a claim

Occasionally, power failure can cause loss or damage.  For this reason we provide several easy ways to make a claim.

Damage or loss from a power outage

If you have experienced loss or damage as a result of our negligence, you may be eligible for compensation* .

Loss of power for 12 hours or more

If your power has been out for 12 hours or more, you may be eligible for a payment under the Extended Outage Payment Scheme*.

Planned power interruptions – little or no warning

If we did not give you at least three working days notification of a planned power interruption, you may be eligible for a $50 payment* .

Has your written complaint been acknowledged within ten working days?

Our customer charter states all written complaints will be acknowledged within ten working days. If you have written to us and your complaint has not been acknowledged, you are eligible for a $50 payment*.
