Western Power Community Outreach Session - Maddington

Release Date: 25 August 2009

Western Power is welcoming Maddington residents to a community outreach session on Wednesday 2 September as part of a suit of sessions being held along Perth's eastern metropolitan corridor in August and September.

The sessions are designed to give residents the opportunity to learn more about where your power comes from and Western Power's role in providing energy to the people of Perth.

Project Manager Brenden Lee said he was looking forward to meeting with Maddington residents to discuss any specific enhancement projects planned for the area and how residents can become actively involved in the planning and decision-making processes for these projects.

"Western Power is actively engaging with communities along the eastern metropolitan corridor to inform them about the electricity network and the way in which individuals can play a part in influencing the need for and development of infrastructure in the future.

"We are encouraging anyone who is interested in the power supply in Maddington to come along and speak with Western Power staff to get their questions answered and discuss any concerns they may have," Mr Lee said.

The outreach session which will be informally structured, meaning residents can drop by at any time and meet with Western Power staff personally.
