Western Power Community Outreach Session - Byford
Release Date: 10 August 2009
Western Power is hosting a number of community outreach sessions along Perth's eastern metropolitan corridor in August and September, with the first session commencing in Byford on Wednesday 19 August.
The sessions are designed to give residents the opportunity to learn more about where your power comes from and Western Power's role in supplying energy to the people of Perth.
Project Manager Ian Buchanan said he was looking forward to meeting with Byford residents to discuss any specific enhancement projects planned for the area and how residents can become actively involved in the planning and decision-making processes for these projects.
"Western Power is actively engaging with communities along the eastern metropolitan corridor to inform them about the electricity network and the way in which individuals can play a part in influencing the need for and development of infrastructure in the future.
"We are encouraging anyone who is interested in the power supply in Byford to come along and speak with Western Power staff to get their questions answered and discuss any concerns they may have," Mr Buchanan said.
The outreach session which will be informally structured, meaning residents can drop by at any time and meet with Western Power staff personally.
