Wild weather causes power interruptions - 4:45pm
Release Date: 09 June 2008
Though wet and tired, Western Power crews have successfully restored the vast majority of customers affected by the wild weather this morning.
More than 15,000 properties in the greater metropolitan area have already had power restored, currently only 500 customers remain without power.
Apart from Rockingham, only one multi customer fault remains in the Perth metro area (Darlington 50 customers) - this is expected to be restored very shortly.
Across the network a number of poles and wires were damaged by the strong winds and flying debris. Crews worked through the wet and windy weather to restore power as quickly as possible.

To ensure all single customer faults are reported, Western Power is asking customers to contact its fault line on 13 13 51 to log a power interruption.
