Bushfires cause power outages in the northern suburbs

Western Power crews are working with FESA to restore power to customers in the north of the metropolitan area in the wake of several bushfires today.
A fire in Ballajura has cut power to 3000 customers in Darch and Landsdale. Half of those customers have now had power restored. Power was interrupted at 4.22pm and it is expected power will be restored to all customers in the next hour.
Bushfires in the east near Hovea and Parkerville are causing the following power interruptions.
Stoneville 733 customers affected - power was interrupted at 4.08pm.
Hovea 172 customers affected - power was interrupted at 2.25pm
Western Power is working with FESA to restore power as quickly as possible and is full restoration in approximately 3 hours.
These outages are not related to the gas shortage experience today after a failure on the North West Shelf Gas platform.
