Power Interruptions in Perth this morning

Lightning strikes to Western Power's powerlines and poles has cut power to approximately 23,000 properties in the metropolitan area and outlying areas or Perth.

Western Power crews have been dispatched to assess and repair the damage and restore power to properties in the Gosnells, Applecross, Midland and Victoria Park areas.

Power is expected to be restored over the next two hours.
