Injury to Western Power employees

Release Date: 20 September 2007

Two Western Power employees have suffered burns this morning following an explosion of electrical equipment at 9am in Wembley Downs. 

Energy Safety and WorkSafe have been notified and their investigators are working with Western Power to determine the cause of the incident.   

The two workers are currently being treated in hospital. 

Assistance will be provided to the families. 

Further updates will be given as information comes to hand.
