ShockProof school program
ShockProof is a free electrical safety and energy efficiency education program for pre primary to year seven students. The program encourages active learning and class participation in a fun and engaging presentation.
Our ShockProof presenter attends your school and delivers 30-45 minute presentations, teaching students:
- how electricity works
- how they come into contact with electricity every day
- the dangers of electricity
- how to be energy efficient
Every year in Western Australia families are affected by the trauma of injury associated with electrical shock. Most of these injuries are preventable and are due to a lack of understanding of electrical safety.
The program also communicates energy efficiency messages for children to practise at home and at school and encourages responsible energy use.
Each school will receive a DVD and each student will receive a letter for their parents outlining the safety and energy efficiency tips they learnt in the presentation.
